Dear Mary Elise,
Our hearts are broken into pieces. Dreams have been shattered. Everything seems a bit blurry. Wish we could have held you in our arms. But we have no doubt that Papa Jesus is holding you right now. We take great comfort in knowing that you’ve reached the ultimate goal of eternal joy in heaven and that you didn’t have to experience any pain here on earth. You would have been 10 weeks tomorrow and we’re grateful to God for allowing you to be a part of our lives even for a very short period of time. But no matter how short-lived it was, please know that we love you so very much and that we will never forget you.
We named you Mary in honor of our Blessed Mother and Elise which means “Consecrated to God”. Our little saint, please watch over us especially your Kuya Nate. Ask Papa Jesus to help us get though this difficult time.
Until we meet again…
Daddy Jon, Mommy Bel & Kuya Nate
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
— Proverbs 3:5-6
Post Edit: After reading this article, https://elizabethministry.wordpress.com/2015/01/19/why-our-babies-arent-angelsand-why-it-matters/, I realized it does make a big difference to know that baby Mary Elise is a saint.
