Verse 8 – Spiderman Theme
Nope, superhero-themed wedding is out of the question. But I’m rather fascinated that there are couples out there looking for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wedding favors. I could see a white satin wedding garter with a Batman-themed adornment for my future brother-in-law…hehehe… but it’s hard to imagine my groom-to-be sporting a half shell article of clothing even with a fancy red bandana. Cowabunga hot! Eeew!
The inspiration to write today has totally nothing to do with our motif. I was just pondering how blessed I am that a God-sent superhero found me in my enchanted world of fairy tale. Sentimental mushy? Maybe. We’re together for almost 40 months now (courtship period included). As I get ready to meet Jon for our First Friday Adoration and our “Wolverine” date night, my mind was taken back to that one summer marathon training day. At the crack of dawn when my SUV got stuck on the beach and a stranger happened to be lurking in the area, I was terrified. It only took one phone call even at 5:30 in the morning for Jon to rescue a damsel in distress. “Like a streak of light, he arrives just in time… Look out! Here comes the Spiderman.”
